The tech world is growing by leaps and bounds every year, and we are at the dawn of a new age of technology with several companies leading the way. One of these companies is Huawei, which has been in the news headlines for a breakthrough in 5G technology. Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. Was founded in 1987 by Ren Zhengfei, who is the CEO of the company to date. It is a Chinese multinational tech company based in Shenzhen, China, that started its journey producing exchange switches by reverse-engineering foreign technology. The parent company of Huawei is Huawei Investment & Holding Co., Ltd., and its stocks are publicly owned by shareholders and employees who get virtual, non-tradable shares for the term of employment as a reward. However, this benefit is for Chinese citizens only.

Over the years, Huawei developed its capabilities and diversified its products through manufacturing parts for technology systems throughout the globe. It continued to grow by focusing on research and development and supplying locally made Chinese products to the country. By 1997, Huawei had secured an international contract and supplied its very efficient parts to global telecommunication companies. Within a matter of years, the worldwide demand for Huawei products multiplied exponentially, and its exports exceeded its local market by the end of 2005. The signing of the Global Framework Agreement with Vodafone made it an internationally approved supplier of technology parts to the world.

The Philosophy of Huawei

The philosophy of Huawei is “the relentless pursuit of innovation in an open ecosystem.” This philosophy is what pushes Huawei to conquer new markets and reach higher goals in technology and innovation. It follows the relentless pursuit of research, development, and improvement in its current technology to find and develop more efficient and cheaper products. The company’s culture is a mix of many cultures, including the European, American, and Chinese cultures.

Huawei strives to provide faster, out-of-the-box, and efficient technological solutions to modern-day problems. Since its inception, Huawei has grown in the number of products and services it offers. Starting only from making switches for the earliest telephone exchanges, Huawei is now delivering state-of-the-art telecommunication services to more than 170 countries in the world.

According to Ren Zhengfei, CEO, the company holds integrity to be its most significant core value. Moreover, being customer-centric is central to the Huawei mission, openness, accepting cultural diversity, and success through collaboration, teamwork, and innovation. Within the organization, these core values are given prime importance, and prosperity, growth, and expansion without following these values is not possible.

What are the Products and Services provided by Huawei?

Huawei makes phones, laptops, tablets, tech wearables, gadgets, audio devices, Routers, EMUI, and other accessories. They produce top quality products in the industry that are competing with Samsung and Apple devices in the tech market. Moreover, they provide Enterprise Networking, optical transmission and Access, Cloud and computing services with access to multiple digital power sources, Video and data analytics, and a variety of management solutions.

Furthermore, Huawei is working with the education industry to provide solutions for distance learning, technology integration or ICT, and providing networks and hardware for campuses. In the field of Energy, Huawei is working with Oil and gas companies to modernize and automate their pipelines, upgrading power grid distribution networks, and smart solar power technologies. Similarly, Huawei is working in collaboration with healthcare, finance, government, ISPs, manufacturing, retail, and transportation industries.

How Huawei became a leader in Smartphones?

Huawei started from the bottom and rose to the top by its sheer willpower and effort. 15% of the total budget of the company is spent on research and development (R&D). It is a massive number for any company, and it shows that the focus of the company is to reduce its costs, bring innovation to its devices, and give more value to the customers for less money. The sales of Huawei phones in China surpassed Apple and Samsung in 2015, generating about $60.8 billion from its sales and operations in revenue. The success of Huawei can be attributed to its price competitiveness, the superior quality of products and services, and a well-balanced marketing and positioning strategy. Huawei’s top flagship products are comparable to the latest flagship phones by Samsung and Apple, and it provides economical options to the ones who don’t want to spend a fortune on the phone.

What is Huawei 5G technology?

5G technology has been in the news a lot, and this is because it is a technology that is going to bring about a revolution in broadband technology. Compared to existing mobile broadband technologies like 4G LTE and 3G, 5G is much faster than current bandwidths. It can provide connectivity with 10.75 Gbps of data and can connect simultaneously with hundreds of devices in an area to form a complex, intelligent network. The technology is lossless and seamless. It will transform the world we live in into a digitally powered world where all the devices are continuously connected and with the people around them. Huawei is the leading brand and manufacturer of 5G products globally, taking over even Apple and Samsung in this regard.

How Huawei’s smartphones changed the mobile phone industry?

Huawei smartphones changed the industry by introducing high-quality, high-end phones that were previously only expected to come from Samsung or Apple. At first, the smartphones were met with consumer skepticism because they entered late into the smartphone market. However, their attractive prices, sleek finish on the phones, modern materials, and design quickly turned user attention towards Huawei smartphones. Moreover, the hardware and equipment quality is unrivaled as Huawei is the leading supplier of parts to leading tech giants. Huawei flagship phones include the Huawei Pro series, with the P40 and P30 being the latest releases. Also, the Huawei Mate series has gained popularity in China and other countries because of its attractive design and features.

Huawei Pro Series Smartphones (P & Mate Series)

The Huawei Pro series is the elite series of Huawei phones with tech matching, or even exceeding in some respects, the latest Samsung and Apple smartphones. The series has twin flagship products, each with its sequel. The Huawei Pro P series is more like the Samsung Galaxy S with an excellent camera, curved display, and healthy battery life. At the same time, the Huawei Pro Mate series is similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note series with more support for business individuals.

  • Huawei P40 pro

The P40 is the latest phone in the series with a soft, well-rounded, and well-finished body. The Quad cameras at the back are one of a kind with DSLR photography. Technologically, the phone is a masterpiece, but the circumstances of its release make matters complicated. The Huawei P40 Pro was available for purchase in the markets from 07 April 2020. It is the same time that the USA banned the company from doing business in America or with American companies. Because of the US sanctions, the P40 does not have any Google services, making the mobile lack access to the Google Play services. There is an app in place of Google Play services for Huawei, but it is nothing compared to the google store. So basically, the P40 is a good option only if you are living in China.

  • Huawei P30 pro

Huawei’s P30 Pro was launched in early 2019, and it came before the ban was implemented on Huawei by the US. Therefore, it has access to the Google Play services and is a perfect device for anyone to buy. The P30 comes with an HDR10 display and Android 9.0 pie. It has an impressive octa-core processor capable of simultaneous multi-threading and up to 512 GB of SSD type in-built memory. Moreover, it features quad cameras at the back for an almost professional photography experience for the user. It should be noted that the P30 Pro is a flagship mobile phone and carries a hefty price tag. The price and specifications are very competitive, and Huawei gives the other companies a run for their money.

  • Huawei Mate 30 pro

The Huawei Mate 30 Pro has been dubbed as the “Forbidden Fruit” of the tech world. It is a piece of Huawei’s latest technological marvel but without the essential google services because of the US ban. Still, it is worth mentioning that the phone feels luxurious with a well-finished metallic body. It is slim and sleek with 8 GBs of RAM, Quad cameras at the back, and the ability to shoot 4k videos at 60 fps.

  • Huawei Mate 20 pro

Similarly, the Mate 20 Pro is a good option if you are looking to save some money and still get a capable phone. The mate 20 pro is a well-rounded phone with plenty of features packed in it. It has a long battery life with super-fast charging that can bring a phone from 0 to 70 % in about 30 mins. The phone cameras are on par with the latest flagship phones, but the phone’s highlight is its very economical cost. The prices of Huawei phones have come down in recent years because of the current US bans on Huawei. The US ban comes because of rivalry between the US and China and has nothing to do with its quality. The Mate 20 Pro is an excellent phone at a very reasonable prices providing the latest features on the go.

Can Huawei Ever Become A Dominant Laptop Brand?

Huawei laptops are quickly gaining attention as the brand is launching new laptops that are powerful, convenient, and stylish at the same time. Huawei’s famous laptops are from the Matebook series that are a group of very sleek, ultrathin Notebooks embedded with the latest technology and features. In terms of quality and experience, Huawei’s Matebook can rival the top and most-expensive laptops in the tech market. Moreover, the pricing of Huawei Laptops is better than Apple and Samsung as Huawei can produce and manufacture its parts through R&D.

Huawei Matebook X Pro; the Apple Macbook challenger

The Huawei MateBook X Pro is the latest series of notebooks by Huawei that are competing with the top laptop brands in the market. It is a sleek, ultra-slim laptop with a well-finished design and touchscreen. It supports a Quad Core 8th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-8,550U processor with 8 GBs of installed RAM. It supports an NVIDIA® GeForce® MX150 with 2 GB GDDR5 / Intel® UHD Graphics 620 that gives it unrivaled graphic processing on the go. Moreover, the laptop comes with built-in gaming support, USB-C port, Bluetooth 4.1, and 256 GB NVMe PCIe SSD. Huawei is diversifying and expanding its products to rival the top brands like Apple and Samsung and furnishing products that can compete with the latest Macbooks.

How to look for the best prices for Huawei Products?

Be it Huawei products or others; the best way to get discounted prices is to search on the internet for the best offers, deals, and discounts. A simple google search for the best deals on Huawei phones can pop up several results. You can thoroughly look at all these options and choose the best amongst them. It is not recommended to buy a device directly from the site as it would get you the same benefits minus the discounts. Just as doing some research would get you discount coupons to a famous dinner venue, doing some research on the internet can save a lot of money on buying tech products and other gadgets.

      Huawei P40 Pro
Just received my Huawei P40 Pro, really a beautiful device! Despite not having access to Google services and app, I must admit that the quality and alternatives make you forget all about not having the status quo apps!

Also, the Leica camera on the Huawei P40 Pro is just insane, talk about a good alternative for heavy cameras!
