Surshark VPN: Stay Private and Protected on the Web
In this digital age, you can almost do anything online. You can use the web not just to gain quick access to the information you need, but you can also make use of it to communicate with anyone, anywhere in the world. The internet also provides a convenient way for different transactions, such as online banking, shopping for essentials, or making travel bookings. You can also find various streaming channels on the web where you can watch or rent your favorite movies and TV shows or listen to podcasts or music playlists.
But as you connect your device to the internet, you may also unknowingly expose private information to hackers and data thieves. These cybercriminals can disable your device and control it remotely or trick you into downloading malware and viruses into it. They can also steal your personal information and use your identity for personal gain.
Surfshark is a VPN company that offers web privacy and protection at an affordable price.
About Surfshark
Surfshark was founded in 2018, and while it is new to the market, it has made its way as one of the most trusted VPN companies today. The company is based in the British Virgin Islands, which is a country outside the surveillance of the Five Eyes, Nine Eyes, and 14 Eyes Alliances. This means that the US government cannot force Surfshark to give out information, which adds an extra blanket of security to your data.
How can Surfshark protect your digital life?
Surfshark provides VPN (Virtual Private Network) services, which enable web users to surf the web safely and privately.
The primary function of a VPN is to keep your online web browsing activities by hiding your real IP address. When you connect your PC, phone, or laptop to a VPN, you get a temporary IP address that allows you to browse the internet anonymously, which in turn, protects your data from spying and scanning tools hackers use.
Pricing and Subscription Plans
Surfshark offers a free trial of 7 days, which runs on any Android, iOs, or macOS device. Once you subscribe to the 7-day free trial, you can use the VPN service on any device.
Surfshark also offers three paid subscription options. You can get the monthly plan at $12.95 per month, the 6-month plan at $6.49 per month, or the 2-year plan at $2.49 per month. If you add $.099 per month to your subscription, you also enjoy the Surshark Alert feature, which sends alerts in case your email appears in leaked databases, plus the Surfshark Search, which allows fast and ad-free web searches.
Surfshark offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on all subscription plans. Payment options include AmazonPay, Google Pay, Crypto Currencies, and Dragon Pay.
Features of Surshark VPN
Like with any other VPN, you want to know if it will satisfy all your needs. Therefore, we took it upon ourselves to make a list of the most important features of Surshark VPN. The following list of features is intended to make your decision making easier when searching for a valuable VPN;
Secure Encryption
Surfshark protects your data using AES-256-GCM Encryption. You can also choose from different VPN protocols such as IKEv2, OpenVPN, Shadowsocks, and Wireguard®.
Adblock VPN with CleanWeb
Adblock VPN with CleanWeb allows you to browse different websites privately and securely, freeing your browser from malware and adware. By blocking annoying pop ads and banners, you can visit web pages faster. You can also save on mobile data when a Wi-Fi connection is not available.
Unlimited Devices
Unlike other VPN companies that enable users to connect a maximum number of devices to the VPN, Surfshark lets you connect all your devices – and your family’s devices, too – all at the same time, regardless of the operating system.
Whitelister
Whitelister is Surfshark’s version of VPN split tunneling, a feature that allows you to choose which websites to access through the VPN’s encrypted tunnel, and which resources go through the internet. This way you can use online services that need to be protected the most. You can also access network devices, such as printers and fax machines, without shutting down your VPN connection.
Strict No-logs Policy
Surfshark’s VPN has no access to your online activities. It does not collect or store details like timestamps, browsing history, or bandwidth usage. The RAM-only servers wipe out all information once you disconnect your device from the server.
Servers also use the Camouflage mode, also referred to as obfuscation, which keeps your browsing and downloading activities private that even your internet service provider won’t know you are using a VPN.
Kill Switch
In case your VPN connection drops without warning, the kill switch feature automatically disconnects your device from the internet, preventing the risk of your web browsing activities from being exposed and sensitive data from being leaked.
As of this writing, Surfshark lets you connect to more than 1,700 servers in 63 countries around the globe, including the United States, Australia, South Korea, and the United Kingdom.

What I dislike: I can’t see the actual servers or select specific ones within a country and city. Other VPNs have these options but Surfshark chose to do things differently. I would like to have the option to switch between servers in the same city with ease.
